The Electric Group is grateful to Intertrade Ireland for the support received through E-Merge, a new program designed to offer Irish and Northern Irish SMEs ongoing support during the current COVID crisis.

E-Merge is a £2500/€2800 fully-funded consultancy support and advice programme designed to help SMEs to develop online sales and eCommerce solutions including:

  • E-Marketing —how to promote and sell online
  • Website updates/ design
  • Promotion through social media
  • SEO optimisation
  • Identification of sectoral e-markets
  • Advice on online payment systems/ retail/ billing/ security

To qualify, organisations must be:

  • A manufacturing or tradeable service business registered on the island of Ireland (North or South)
  • Engaged in cross border trade
  • Have a satisfactory trading history (min. 18 months & with an established turnover)
  • Have the capacity to deliver the project
  • Have less than 250 employees and annual turnover of less than £40 million (or Euro equivalent)

Additional Intertrade support is also available through a new programme called Emergency Business Solutions. Again, £2500/€2800 worth of consultancy advice is available to organisations, which fit similar criteria to those listed above, and which need specific emergency advice on one or more of the following areas:

  • Guidance and direction to relevant government supports and help in applying where feasible
  • Emergency Cash flow, People, Supply Chain
  • Completion of lending applications for loan supports
  • HR and People related issues (covering employment, contracts, redundancy advice and other legal aspects)
  • Help businesses change production to offer other products or service to mitigate immediate risk
  • Support in rapidly repositioning your business strategy (Note: This key area is delivered via 1:1 workshops and will be the full cost of the support)
